Art is created in so many different unique ways around the world. Some people make sand art for ceremonies, stained glass for churches and murals on street walls to remember family and friends. Art has a special way of expressing how someone is feeling or help them psychologically. Now people are using multimedia to show off the different styles of art around the world.
What is Multimedia?
The video above explains that multimedia is the integration of animation, audio, graphics, text, and full-motion video through computer hardware and software for education, entertainment, or training. The word “Multimedia” was coined by singer and artist Bobb Godtsein to promote the July 1966 opening of his “light works at L’Oursin” show at Southampton, Long island. Most people thought multimedia started in the 1980’s with the personal computer and the CD-ROM, but the word “Multimedia” has been around since, at least, the 1960’s. Multimedia can be tracked back to 1440 (the first printing press was invented by the Romans), 1556 (the news paper began its modern form in Italy), and 1928 (Walt Disney release an animated short film “steamboat Willie”).
